FAQ:

• Question: I want to activate iPhone / iPad, but do not know from which network is it and I don't have the original card - whether this product will solve my problem?
   
• Answer: You need to know from what network phones is - you can check in the phone itself while it is still active, or an older version of the software or read out of from iPhone box . If you do not have this information, but you know what country where iPhone was purchased, you can by trial and error check activation on any network from a particular country (eg. France is 6 IMSI, so 6 attempts). Otherwise, if you have the original card you can read the IMSI or if the card is damaged SMSC and on this basis to check network - activation will take more time, but it is possible. 
   
• Another Answer: You may be able to also use some software called tiny-umbrella.exe and connect your iPhone to pc via standard usb cable to read the model number from the handset like the picture below:
  
  then use google and search this number to find the correct network that your iPhone is locked to. Then simply program this network to the Sim.
