2 Day Training Course For Micro Soldering

Two days of hands-on micro soldering training at our Sheffield lab. This micro soldering course is tailored for those looking to enhance their skills in fault finding, diagnostics and micro soldering, working on surface-mounted components across a variety of devices including iPhones, iPads and Samsung products — with a full second day to practise and perfect each technique.

The training is available as a one-to-one or one-to-two session, ensuring a personalised learning experience with the undivided attention of one of our expert engineers.

Note: The price is per person (maximum of two participants).

What You'll Learn:

Fault Finding on Logic Boards
Identify and diagnose damaged components.
Test components for resistance, value, and functionality.
Replace faulty components with confidence.

Removing and Replacing Charging Ports
Learn our 4-stage process for charging port repairs:
Remove the damaged port.
Prepare the logic board (cleaning and prepping).
Install the new port.
Repair damaged tracks to ensure proper data and charging functionality.

Working with Surface-Mounted Components
Master our 4-step process:
Preheat the logic board.
Remove damaged components.
Clean and prepare the logic board.
Fit and install new components.

Using a Soldering Iron
Master temperature control for various logic boards and components.
Learn to use solder, solder paste, and flux effectively.
Maintain and clean soldering iron tips for optimal performance.

Using a Hot Air Rework Gun
Set the correct temperatures and airflow for different boards and components.
Develop advanced skills for precise and efficient repairs.

Schedule (each day):
Morning Session: 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
Lunch Break: 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm (provided)
Afternoon Session: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Completion Certificate: A certificate will be awarded upon completion of the course.
