UP-828P Adapter VBGA169P - BGA169 Chip-Off Socket

Overview

The UP-828P Adapter VBGA169P is a chip-off socket adapter for 169-ball VBGA (eMMC), 0.5 mm ball pitch packages. It plugs into the UP-828P universal programmer and holds a chip that has been removed from its board, so its contents can be read, verified and written without soldering.

Takes 169-ball eMMC, iNAND and moviNAND, found in many Android phones, BlackBerry 9000 series devices and tablets. In chip-off data recovery and digital forensics the chip is lifted from a damaged, locked or non-booting device and placed in the socket, and the UP-828P software saves a complete raw image of eMMC, iNAND and moviNAND for analysis in your own tools.
