Riff Box eMMC Support Activation (30 Riff Box Credits)

 

You can use these 30 RIFF Box Server Credits to purchase eMMC Support Activation

For RIFF Box with "Account Expired" message from server, activations are required and they are not free.

 

30 RIFF Box Server Credits allow you to:

  • Update RIFF Box firmware for a period of 1 year
  • Access RIFF download servers for a period of 1 year
  • Receive support on RIFF forums

Please note that buying these credits you get 1 year access to firmware updates and download server. In a year, when your activation (credits) expires you’ll have to renew your access.

 

 

JTAG Manager v1.58 with ISP/Direct eMMC support.

To use it, please prepare your RIFF Box installation folder:

  • Rename JTAG Manager v1.56, so you can continue using it if your account is expired.
  • Backup "Useful plugins" folder content because old plugins are incompatible with new Exe, and old exe is incompatible with new plugins.
  • Start v1.58 exe and download license (if your account is not expired)
  • Update Box firmware to v1.38
  • Download new plugins.

Old server will be online for some weeks, so users can get a license, if they need it.

 

 

JTAG Manager 1.58

  • Added Direct eMMC Access Interface on the RIFFBOX RJ-45 port (check pinout picture for CMD, CLK, DAT0, pins positions, etc.)
  • Added eMMC/SD Access page for Read/Write operations on eMMC/SD card via direct interface
  • Added eMMC/SD Advanced dialog which allows to perform advanced operations with eMMC/SD cards
    (reading info, browsing through OCR, CID, CSD (and EXT_CSD for eMMC only) registers' fields, edit separate fields and writing back to card, reading/writing eMMC card's MCU's internal firmware, etc.)
  • Added convenient information presentation for specific eMMC chips: pinouts for testpoints, manuals how to use testpoints to resurrect dead eMMC, etc.). These INFO files (*.riffinfo) are stored in JTAG Manager's Documents folder and can be downloaded using generic "Check for Updates" operation.
  • Added eMMC Firmware Update option
  • Added eMMC Firmware Reading option (firmware is stored in *.riffemmcfw format)
    For firmware read need to select chip from the list
  • *.riffemmcfw eMMC firmware files are now used by RIFF for firmware updates (plain binary files are supported too)
  • Added elapsed time info for eMMC firmware update stages
  • Added eMMC Testpoint info displaying (info files must be downloaded from support and are located in the JTAG Manager's "Documents" folder
  • Added CMD42 Lock/Unlock functionality for eMMC. User can set/change/remove password to protect/unprotect (lock/unlock) the User Area Partition
  • Added the User Area Partition Forced Erase to erase Locked User Area Partition and to reset Device lock/unlock state and password (CMD42's consequences)
  • Added Samsung Factory Erase, which erases and re-formats Samsung eMMC chips
  • Fixed bug, displaying wrong SD card size, for cards with capacity less than 2GB
  • Few small improvements and bug fixes

RIFF Box - Upgrade Procedure:

This is an initial guide for RIFF Box eMMC ISP/Direct functionality. This is not regular update, but rather a major upgrade.
As such, it will come free for all RIFF Boxes registered in the last 6 months (180 days), and of course for all new RIFF Box customers.

To prepare everything on your side for this upgrade, you will need the following:

  • RJ45 cable
  • 2 x 100 ohms resistors
  • External source for VCC and VCCQ (optional)
  • Moorc adapters (optional)
  • Activation credits (if your box is older than 6 months)

RJ45 cable is required to connect RIFF Box to eMMC, as RIFF Box RJ45 port is used for this function.
2 x 100 Ohms resistors are required as pull up, to increase signal levels and improve stability.
External source for VCC and VCCQ is required in case that you don't want to open your RIFF Box, in order to connect RIFF Box internal VCC voltage source. There are already some adapters on the market, which offer this function.
Moorc adapters are well known, and they offer best at a price range.
Activation credits - you have to buy them, if your box is older than 6 months.

At FoneFunShop Ltd. we have every confidence that you will be delighted with your purchase. However, in the event that you wish to return any goods purchased, then please follow the applicable policy detailed below.

 

Unwanted Goods - within 14 Days

You (the buyer) pay for return shipping fees.

You should inform FoneFunShop Ltd. in writing, within 14 days of receiving your item(s) either by post or by using the contact form of any return request.

You can return unwanted items within 14 calendar days of delivery and we will refund you the price paid for the items. In addition to the refund on your items; if your return request is received within 14 days of delivery, and items received within the following 14 days, then we will refund the cheapest, standard delivery option to you, unless there is another item on your order. Outside of 14 days from receipt, refunds for non-faulty returned items will not include the original delivery charge or the cost of delivering the items to us.

If you return a product to us that is not received in a brand new condition we reserve the right to return the product to you, or issue a partial refund with a deduction because the item is not fit for resale.  You should only handle the item as if you were in a high street store viewing the item as you normally would. it should not be opened or used.

Orders containing personalised items or to the buyers specification cannot be cancelled , this includes unlock codes and iPhone unlocks. whereby the buyers IMEI number is considered unique to the order and has no resale value. 
Unlock codes and iPhone unlock services are based on the unique imei number of the customers phone, and are considered as a "made to a consumers specification" order.
These orders cannot be cancelled as they have no resale value.  For example, an unlock code for john's phone would not work on jane's phone, because the 2 phones have different imei numbers. the code would simply fail on all other phones except johns.  We have to order and pay for these codes from our suppliers for the customer once they place their orders online and supply their unique imei number, the codes are no good for anyone else so they cannot be resold to a different customer.

 


 

Faulty Goods - within 30 Days

If your goods are faulty on arrival, you have 30 calendar days from receipt, in which to inform us of the fault in order to claim a full refund or exchange or repair exchange, (please note that for our business customers, different terms of sale apply), after 30 days your return will be processed under the terms of the Manufacturers’ Warranty (See below).

Goods should be returned in their original packaging complete with all accessories and documentation. Once we have verified the fault, we will conduct a repair, or issue a replacement, or full refund to you via your original payment method. We test returned items, and if our technicians find a returned item is not faulty or has been tampered with, we will return the item to you ( In certain circumstances, faults will need to be diagnosed by the manufacturers of the item before a replacement can be issued – i.e. memory card reading faults, item not powering up etc.). In this instance you will be liable for the return carriage.

Goods outside 30 calendar days shall be issued with a replacement or repair only depending on the warranty length of the product.

If a refund is required, Refunds for faulty goods will be issued back to the original payment method.

If your order was only for one item and this item has been returned then the refund cost you paid to receive this order will also be refunded.

If your order contained multiple items and you are not returning all of them, then the cost of shipping your order to you will not be refunded.

Any returns should be marked as "Returned Faulty Item" on the parcel or jiffy bag etc.

Unlocking box's and Dongles that are registered by the buyer and  becomes faulty we will offer to replace or repair it depending on the warranty length of the product.

Unfortunately we cannot refund any unlocking box or dongle that has been used to unlock  phone, we contact the manufacturer of the tool returned to check this prior to refunding or cancelling. However if faulty we can offer to replace or repair it depending on the warranty length of the product.

Replacements & Refunds

Where applicable, replacement or alternative items will be processed as promptly as possible, but please be aware that it may take up to 10 working days to issue the item. If an item is out of stock, it will then become a priority back order to be shipped once stock is available.

If you are eligible for a refund, we will refund you back to the payment method you used when you originally paid for your order. Please note: It is your responsibility to notify us of any changes to your card details i.e. you no longer have that account. Refunds can take up to 30 days to process. Refunds by credit card are made to the same credit card that was used for the original purchase*.  Refunds by Paypal will be refunded back to the original Paypal payment account.*

Any return that is not accompanied with the returns form or returns reference number will be held by FoneFunShop for 30 days, awaiting the return of the completed form. Items that have not been reclaimed by you within this period will be disposed of after this time and will result in the return being completed without action.

Warranty

Where a product develops a fault, a repair or replacement will be offered, as long as the item is within its manufacture warranty timescale.

Where a product develops a fault outside its manufacture warranty timescale, we will try to help by offering a chargeable repair if possible, or if not possible you would need to purchase the replacement item at the current value.
